Congratulations to Luke Meadows who received the Medibank Healthy Attitude Award from Subiaco District Football Club!
Luke, who has played a total of 143 games for the Kingsley Junior Football Club, is in his final year of Junior Football and is a leader amongst his peers. Prior to the commencement of the 2011 season, Luke approached his football club and put up his hand for a coaching role so that he could put back into the sport. Luke, along with one of his team mates, was appointed to coach the Year 3 Cheetahs Auskick team. He has received high recognition from the players he has coached, their parents and the from his fellow coaches, with many commenting on the positive manner in which he instructs his team and provides constant encouragement. Luke accepted his award along with Mark Savigni of the Kingsley Junior Football Club who accepted the Club’s prize.
The award was presented last Saturday at the Subiaco President's lunch prior to the Subiaco versus East Fremantle game. The award consisted of a $100 EFTPOS gift card to Luke and a $400 EFTPOS giift card to the Kingsley junior Football Club, which was in turn donated back to Luke's team for end of season festivities.
